Robert Lee
‘Robert loved meeting new people and really valued giving back to his community. He regularly donated to help people who were homeless, military veterans, and animals.’
‘Robby was born in North Carolina and made his way to Seattle after leaving college to become a barber. He worked in the University District Barber Shop for over a decade before buying The Colman Building Barber Shop and creating his own unique space. A friend to strangers, Robby brought some of North Carolina’s friendliness to Seattle’s business district and built a loyal clientele during his 10 years running his own shop. Always opinionated, Robby was never afraid to say what he really thought, nor was he upset when learning he was wrong about something. He was an outspoken individual, often surprising people with what he said. When he had to give up barbering to battle cancer, he spent his free time building 14 raised garden beds in his backyard. He planted and watered all kinds of vegetables and fruit, donating hundreds of pounds of fresh food to the University District Food Bank over the next 5 years. He had a passion for knowledge, live music, art, and community.’
