‘We were a Disney family together. We had been going to Disney every year since he drove us in his own van in 2018 and we flew the other years. A couple of the years we went to a conference called the CureSMA which is a foundation for his physical condition. The foundation has been doing amazing things in finding treatments, and hopefully in the future, a cure, so this passing doesn’t happen so early for anyone else.’
‘He wasn’t supposed to live past the age of four, but he made it to 52. And he worked so hard in his life that he didn’t reserve enough energy to make the lap back. But his first future passing was something we knew that would happen. It was part of conversations. We had been together for eight years and married for 7.’
